This Sourdough starter recipe came down to me from my great aunt who got the recipe and her first starter from a friend of hers in the 1960'

- 14 grams Rye flour
- 43 grams Whole Milk
- 43 grams White Sugar
- 3 tablespoons Honey
- 14 grams Luke-Warm Water
- 28 grams Dark Beer
