Why number 19? because there were 18 formulas before that didn't quite reach Alton Brown's fine fiesta standards. I've been using this recipe for years and haven't modified it from Alton's original....
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2/3 cup beef stock or 1/3 cup beef stock and 1/3 cup red enchilada sauce
