• 3 carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds
• 1 onion, sliced in half rounds
• 1 stalk of celery, sliced
• 2 potatoes, diced
• 2 zucchini, diced
• 1 clove of garlic
• 4 tbsp. butter
• A small piece of salt pork, diced
• 4 liters (1 gallon) chicken stock
• Salt and pepper
• 2 tbsp. fresh parsley
• 125 ml (1/2 cup) rice
• 125 ml (1/2 cup) Parmesan (for garnish)
