Chocolate Bark

Dishes & Recipes

Chocolate bark is a confection made by spreading melted chocolate in a thin layer on a flat surface, topping it with mix-ins such as nuts, dried fruit, or crushed cookies, letting it set, and breaking it into irregular pieces. Unlike molded candies, bark needs no special equipment beyond a baking sheet, which makes it a common homemade holiday gift. It can be made with dark, milk, or white chocolate, or a combination, and crumbled bark is also used as a topping for ice cream or baked goods.
