Cress

Ingredients

Cress is a small, fast-growing leafy green in the mustard family, most commonly garden cress or watercress, with a peppery, slightly bitter bite.

It's used raw as a garnish for salads, sandwiches, and soups, and appears in stir-fries and as a topping for rice-based dishes in various Asian cuisines. Its pepperiness pairs well with rich or creamy foods, such as eggs, cheese, and avocado, and with citrus, which cuts through the richness.

Cress is a good source of vitamins A, C, and K.
