Garlic Salt
Garlic salt is a seasoning blend of garlic powder and table salt, with salt making up most of the mix. Because it already contains salt, recipes that call for garlic salt need less additional seasoning than those using plain garlic powder, and substituting one for the other without adjusting salt can over- or under-season a dish. It is used to season roasted meats, vegetables, soups, stews, and sauces, and is a common finishing seasoning for French fries and popcorn. It pairs well with herbs and spices such as rosemary, thyme, black pepper, and paprika.
