A gelatin mold is a container used to shape a sweet or savory gelatin preparation as it sets. The name can also mean the finished molded dish.

The prepared liquid is poured into the mold and chilled until firm enough to turn out. Fruit-flavored gelatin desserts and savory aspics are examples of dishes that may be molded. Aspic refers to a savory jelly, rather than to the container itself.

Follow the recipe for dissolving gelatin, chilling time, and unmolding.
