A slider bun is a small, soft, round bun, roughly half the diameter of a standard hamburger bun, used to hold a slider or other bite-sized sandwich. It is typically made from a mildly sweet, enriched wheat dough similar to a standard burger bun, just scaled down. Because of their small size, slider buns are also used for appetizers and hors d'oeuvres beyond sliders themselves, such as mini pulled-pork or egg sandwiches. Their soft, slightly sweet crumb is meant to stay in the background rather than compete with whatever filling it holds.
