Fruitcake Custard Tarts

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 6 tbsp brown sugar
• ½ tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp grated nutmeg
• 1 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
• 1 tsp ground cloves
• 1 tsp grated ginger
• 12 tbsp butter
• 4 tbsp brandy
• 2 eggs
• 8 tbsp mango rum or any rum
• ⅓ cup dried mango
• ⅓ cup pineapple
• ⅓ cup raisins
• ⅓ cup cranberries
• ⅓ cup papaya
• ⅓ cup dried coconut
• 2 ¾ cups milk
• ¼ tsp almond extract
• ¼ tsp vanilla extract
• 3 egg yolks
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 3 tbsp cornstarch
• 2 tbsp butter
• 3 egg whites
• ⅓ tsp cream of tartar
• pinch of salt
• ¾ cup powdered sugar
• 2 tbsp toasted cashew nuts
• 24 toasted chestnuts
