- 110g butter, softened, at room temperature
- 110g castor sugar
- 2 large free-range eggs, lightly beaten
- 5ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
- 1 vanilla pod or 2,5ml (½ tsp) vanilla bean paste
- 15 30ml (1 – 2 tbsp) milk
- 110g self-raising flour

- 280g icing sugar, sifted
- a few drops of rose water
- a few drops of pink food colourin
