Ingredients: 1 small yellow onion (or 1/2 large) diced; 2 vine ripe tomatoes, diced; 2 cloves garlic, minced; 1 cup beef broth; 12 ounces lager; 3/4 cup Port wine; 1 teaspoon salt; 1/2 teaspoon black pepper; 1 bay leaf; 2 tablespoons cornstarch; 4 ounces Italian sausage; 1 - 4 ounces steak, I used a small filet; 2 spicy sausages, Linguica is traditional but I used a nice spicy sausage version; 3 slices white bread; 1 egg; 3 slices ham; 8 slices Havarti cheese
