- 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup 99g / 3.5oz Sugar
- 1 tablespoon 15ml Baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon 3.8ml Salt
- Chilled unsalted margarine - (1/2 stick) - cut into pieces
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- 2 cups 396g / 13oz Powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup 59ml Anisette liqueur
- 1 tablespoon 15ml Anisette liqueur
- 2 cups 474ml Water
- 2/3 cup 131g / 4.6oz Sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons 37ml Aniseed - chopped
- 6 oz 170g Dried apricots
- 1 Pineapple - peeled, cored, and cut into 3/4
