  • 3/4 teaspoon 3.8ml Salt
  • Chilled unsalted margarine - (1/2 stick) - cut into pieces
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • 2 cups 396g / 13oz Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup 59ml Anisette liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon 15ml Anisette liqueur
  • 2 cups 474ml Water
  • 2/3 cup 131g / 4.6oz Sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons 37ml Aniseed - chopped
  • 6 oz 170g Dried apricots
  • 1 Pineapple - peeled, cored, and cut into 3/4
