• 3 tbsp. butter
• 1 sm. onion, chopped
• 4 tbsp. flour
• 5 cups chicken stock, heated (I use vegetable stock)
• 1/2 tsp. dried basil
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley
• Salt and pepper, to taste
