Hamburger Chop Suey – Recipe Wise

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup shortening
• 1 1/2 cups ground beef
• 1 cup diced onion
• 1 cup diced celery
• 1 cup hot water
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 can bean sprouts , drained and rinsed
• 1/3 cup cold water
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 teaspoons soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon white sugar
