Whipped Banana Monkey Cake - SavvyMom
Makes one eight-inch cake. Adapted from Martha Stewart.
Ingredients
- 2¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 very ripe bananas
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¾ cup butter and extra for greasing pans
- ⅔ sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 8 toothpicks
- 3 cups chocolate frosting
- 1½ cups vanilla frosting
- Yellow gel-paste food colouring
