• 1-1/2 cups boiling water
• 1 cup quick rolled oats, uncooked
• 1/2 cup molasses or honey (or some of each)
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 T salt
• 5 to 5-1/2 cups flour
• 2 eggs, beaten
