Ingredients

• 1/2 cup (125 mL) white sugar
• 1/4 cup (50 mL) pure maple syrup
• 4 tbsp (60 mL) cornstarch
• 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) nutmeg
• 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) cinnamon
• 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) coriander
• Dash allspice
• Dash salt
• 1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
• 1-1/2 to 5 cups (1250 mL) thinly sliced pared tart apples
• 1 tbsp (15 mL) water
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
