• 1 1/2 cup thick unsweetened applesauce
• 2 1/2 cup sifted enriched flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon cloves
• 1/2 teaspoon allspice
• 1/2 cup water
• 1 cup walnuts, cut up
