Homemade Apple Pie

Ingredients

• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1-1/2 cups butter flavored shortening
• 1 - 1-1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2-1 cup ice water
• 6 apples (peeled and cored, medium/large size)
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1 T + 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• 2 T white sugar (for pie dough topping)
