Ingredients

• 1-3/4 cups (450 mL) milk
• 2-1/4 cups (550 mL) heavy cream
• 1 cup (250 mL) sugar
• 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
• 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
• 6 egg yolks
