• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
• 2 cups plain flour

• 1½ cups peeled and finely chopped Granny Smith apples
• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecan nuts
• ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
• 50g butter
