Kye's 'World Famous' Chocolate Chip Lentil Cookies

Ingredients

• Course Cookies , Dessert
• 1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick)
• 1/2 Cup Brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 Cup White Sugar
• 1 Medium Egg
• 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
• 1 1/8 Cups All-purpose Flour (1 1/4 Cup if you want them less crisp)
• 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 Cup Chopped nuts (or more, if you like)
• 1/2 Cup Chocolate chips
• 1/2 Cup Cooked lentils ("al dente")
• Cream butter and sugars together, cream in egg and vanilla.
• Mix flour with salt and baking soda, add to creamed ingredients.
• Add lentils, chips, and nuts.
• Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet or parchment paper. Bake about 9 minutes.
