Ingredients

• 1 package of 15/16 bean soup mix, rinsed
• 1 meaty ham bone
• 3-4 quarts of water
• 1 large onion, quartered and sliced
• 1 T. whole peppercorns
• 2 beef bouillon cubes
• 1/2 C. ketchup
• 1 Bay leaf
• 1 T. chili powder
• 4 garlic cloves, sliced or chopped
• 1 C. cubed ham
• 1 can stewed or diced tomatoes, not drained
• 1/2 C. sliced carrots (I use baby carrots)
• 1/2 C. sliced celery
• 1 T. Italian seasoning
• 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
• 5-6 drops Tabasco sauce or any other hot sauce
