"German" Onion Soup Recipe

Ingredients

• 6 strips thick-sliced bacon, halved crosswise
• 2 each yellow, white, and red onions, sliced ¼-inch thick (12 cups)
• 3 Tbsp. minced fresh garlic
• 1 Tbsp. caraway seeds
• 1 lager beer (12 oz.)
• 2 Tbsp. whole-grain mustard
• 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
• 3 cups each low-sodium beef and chicken broth
• 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
• Salt and black pepper to taste
