Linzer Cookies - Once Upon a Chef

Ingredients

• 1⅓ cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 cup slivered almonds
• 2 cups all-purpose flour, (spooned into measuring cup and leveled-off)
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 14 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, (cut into ½-in (13-mm) slices)
• 2 large egg yolks
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ½ teaspoon almond extract
• About 1 cup raspberry or apricot jam
