This vodka sauce is so easy and one of the tastiest Italian pasta sauce recipes I have. The alcohol burns off, leaving a delicate flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion (small, chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 28 ounces canned tomatoes ( crushed, with basil)
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- cooked pasta (fettucine, spaghetti or penne all work well)
