Ingredients
- 2 sheets – 25 cm x 25 cm (10 in x 10 in) – puff pastry
- 340 g (3/4 lb) sliced ham, high quality such as Black Forest
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup (preferably amber syrup for its rich flavour)
- Smoky maple hot sauce, to taste*
- 250 g (3 cups) medium cheddar, grated
- 1 egg
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) milk
- 80 g (1/2 tasse) maple nuggets
