• 1 medium tomato, peeled and seeds removed, chopped
• 1/2 teaspoon Mexican oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
• 2 cups beef broth
• 1 cup dry red wine
