Cheeseburger Soup Recipe – Like a Burger Took a Hot Bath | The Cooking Guy
Cheeseburger soup recipe loaded with beef, cheese, and bacon—basically everything great about a burger, but soupified and spoon-ready.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon oil, or for carnivore use butter, bacon grease or even tallow
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, plus extra for serving
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire or soy
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 4 pieces bacon, cooked, crispy & crumbled for serving
- Heat oil or whatever you're using in a large pot, add the beef and cook until fully browned - remove excess grease
- Pour in the bone broth, bring to a simmer and add cream cheese - stir until melted and fully incorporated
- Add in the heavy cream, shredded cheddar, Worstershire or soy and garlic powder
- Cook on low and stir gently until the cheese is melted and soup is thickened - season to taste with salt & pepper
- Simmer 5–10 minutes until velvety and thick
- Ladle into bowls and top with extra cheese, crumbled bacon
