• 1 red onion, diced
• 3 stalks celery, diced
• 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
• 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
• 2 tablespoons chili powder
• 1 tablespoon ground cumin
• 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, unsweetened
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1 (28 ounces) can diced tomatoes
• 1 (8 ounces) can tomato sauce
• 2 (15 ounces) cans black beans, drained
• 1 cup vegetable stock, plus more if necessary
