Banana Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream | Blue Jean Chef - Meredith Laurence
This Banana Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream is my version of Ben & Jerry's® Chunky Monkey® but is more fun to make than a trip to the store!
Ingredients
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon rum or vodka (optional, but helps with texture)
- 3 very ripe bananas (mashed well)
- ⅔ cup chocolate chunks
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
