Ingredients
- 5 Cups flour (use bread flour, if possible)
- ¾ cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 Packages (1 Tablespoon) active dry yeast
- 2 Tablespoons grated lemon peel
- 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup half and half
- ½ cup butter
- 4 eggs (beaten)
- 4 Raw eggs (to place in braided wreath while baking)
- 1 egg
- 1 Tablespoon milk
- 4 Colorfully dyed hard-boiled eggs (to decorate the wreath after cooking)
- candy and Easter grass (for decorating, if desired)
