Ingredients

• 1 large chicken
• 3 cups chicken broth
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1 cup ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
• 3 tbsp lard (or butter)
• 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 2 ears corn, cut into chunks
• 2 green plantains, cut into chunks
• 2 cassavas (yuca), peeled and cut into chunks
• 4 medium potatoes, quartered
• chopped cilantro
• salt
• pepper
• ground cumin
