Honey Glazed Apple Spice Cake - Golden Girl Granola

• 1/3 cup + 1/4 cup butter, melted
• 2 Tablespoons light-colored corn syrup
• 1 Tablespoon lemon zest

• 2 apples, Gala or Fuji, thinly sliced
• 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds
• 1 1/2 cups Original Granola
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1/2 cup golden raisins
• 2/3 cup buttermilk
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
