Ingredients

• 1 lb penne or like pasta
• 1 lb italian sausage; hot or mild
• 1-15 oz can white beans; drained and rinsed
• 1 small onion; diced
• 1 large , 2 small zucchini; quarter sliced and seeds removed
• 3 medium garlic cloves; minced/grated
• 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil/butter
• 1/8 tsp salt/pepper; to taste
• 1-14.5 oz can petite tomatoes
• SAUCE
• 1 tbsp butter
• 2 tbsp flour
• 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
• 1/2 cup half/half
• 1/2 cup parmesan cheese; grated finely
• 1/4 tsp ground thyme
• 1/2 cup pasta water; +/1 (best to pull out at least a cup of the water)
