This can be eaten as a smoothie bowl with lots of toppings, but I prefer to pour it into a glass jar to drink on the go. These are my favourite greens, but you can use whatever you have available.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, roughly chopped
  • 2–3 cups water or coconut water
  • squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp baobab powder
  • 1 Tbsp maca powder (optional, it’s very expensive)
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 courgette, roughly chopped
  • ½ avocado or 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 cups baby spinach or roughly chopped kale
  • 1 stick celery, roughly chopped
  • 1 Tbsp spirulina or hemp seed powder (or moringa powder or your favourite green powder)
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • ¼ medium-sized English cucumber, roughly chopped
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, skin on
  • 2 Tbsp ground almonds
