This is very similar to a Reuben sandwich, but in casserole form. Very good, but rich.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces sauerkraut, drained (2 cans)
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup thousand island dressing
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 onion, chopped
- 24 ounces corned beef (2 cans)
- 12 ounces Swiss cheese, sliced or shredded
- 10 slices hearty rye bread, cut into 1 inch squares
- 2 sticks butter, melted (1 cup)
