Ingredients

• 1 lb carrots peeled and chopped
• 1 cup red lentils rinsed
• 1 medium onion chopped
• 4 cups vegetable broth
• 1 tsp ground cumin
• 1 tsp ground turmeric
• 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
• salt and pepper
• 2 Tbsp olive oil
