  • peanut oil or another vegetable oil for frying (enough to fill your pan 2 inches deep)
  • 1 ⁄ 2 cup dill pickle juice
  • 1 ⁄ 2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1 1 ⁄ 2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 3 radishes, cut into matchsticks
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 ⁄ 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 ⁄ 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 tablespoons hot oil, from frying pan
  • 2 hamburger buns
