- 250 g pasta of your choice (I’ve used shells)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 red chillies, chopped (optional)
- 1 t dried thyme
- 1 t dried oregano
- 1 t dried sweet basil
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 cubes chicken stock
- 1 T tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 1 can pilchards in tomato sauce
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 t salt
- 1 t pepper
- ½ cup Cheddar cheese, grated
- A pinch smoked paprika
- oil for frying
