Honey and marmalade cake
Similar to an old-fashioned gingerbread, this delicious honey cake recipe improves with age so it makes a lovely gift for friends to take to the bach or to simply enjoy at home
Ingredients
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 tablespoon water
- 100 gram butter
- 160 gram honey
- 1 tablespoon allspice
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 50 millilitre milk
- 330 gram plain flour
- 1/2 cup marmalade
- Icing
- 20 gram butter
- 170 gram dark chocolate, chopped
