Sweet, squidgy and gorgeously sticky – this loaf is pure comfort food and reminds me of my childhood! It gets even better after a few days (if you can resist eating it straight away!).
Ingredients
- Sunflower oil
- 150 ml Hot black tea
- 175 g Malt extract
- 85 g Dark muscovado sugar
- 300 g Mixed dried fruit
- 2 Eggs
- 250 g Plain flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
