A lovely pear dessert, with lots of pears, baked in a custard/cake batter. Will make 4-6 ramekins or one large pudding cake.

- 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp fine salt
- Icing/Confectioners' Sugar
- 4 pears
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp vegetable or canola oil
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 large egg
