- 500g thick Greek-style yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp saffron threads
- 1 cup (120g) pure icing sugar, sifted
- 2 tsp rosewater
- 7g sachet dried instant yeast
- 2 tbs honey
- 1/2 cup (125ml) milk, warmed
- 22/3 cups (400g) bread and pizza flour (strong flour)
- 2 eggs
- 60g unsalted butter, chopped
- Sunflower oil, to deep-fry
- 1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- Chopped pistachios, to serve
