I decided to make some lemon ice cream; my need to use up some blackberries turned the lemon ice cream into lemon blackberry ice cream. In a word, yummers.
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks (room temperature)
- 3/4 cup lemon juice (about 2 – 3 lemons)
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup pureed blackberries
