This a nice easy apple cake that you can whip up on the weekend for dessert or afternoon tea.
Ingredients
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted
- 3 medium apples, peeled, chopped
- 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- optional: 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
