• 2 large onions , finely chopped
• 8 medium potatoes , thinly sliced
• 3.5 pt (1.66 liter) of chicken stock
• cumin seeds
• 6 new potatoes
• salt and pepper
• 2 ears of corn , each cut into three pieces
• 3 tbsp of capers
• 0.25 pt (118 ml) of double cream
