• 1 lb. asparagus, rinsed and trimmed
• ¼ c. onion, thinly sliced
• ¼ c. olive oil
• ¼ c. fresh lemon juice
• 1 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
• 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 tsp. sugar
• ¼ tsp. salt
• ¼ tsp. black pepper
