AMARETTO & CHERRY CAKE - Sherry's Kitchen Table

Ingredients

• 8" square cake tin, creased and floured
• 100 g ground almonds
• 100 g plain white flour
• 1 tsp each of baking powder and salt
• 15 ripe cherries,
• 5 tbsp amaretto liquer
• 2 eggs
• 175 ml olive oil
• 200 g fine cane cugar
• 1 tsp vanilla bean essence
• 1 heaped tbsp flaked almonds
• 2 or 3 tbsp amaretto liqueur
