Joey Campanaro's Gravy Meatball Sliders

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 pound ground pork
• 1 pound ground veal
• 1 cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese
• 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
• 2 cups cold water
• 3 large eggs
• 1 1/2 cups warm water
• 2 tablespoons molasses
• 1/4 ounce yeast
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 bulbs whole roasted garlic
• 1 chopped Spanish onion
• 1/4 head chopped fresh garlic
• 1 bunch fresh basil
• 1 bunch fresh parsley (reserve 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley)
• 1 can whole peeled tomatoes
• 1 tablespoon fennel seed
• 3 cups vegetable oil for cooking
• Salt and pepper
